Administration
CTF is managed by a team based in the Coordinating Secretariat who are answerable to the Board of Trustees. Function of the Coordinating Secretariat is divided into seven sections such as Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Telecommunication, Monitoring and Evaluation, Program, Resources Development, and Secretariat. Each unit is led by a Managing Trustee and supported by dedicated team members.

Swarnapuri people's dream come true.....

CTF completed its one of great and vast humanitarian support program for resettled people in Mannar District.CTF implemented a program, Humanitarian support for the resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Mannar district in the northern province of Sri Lanka in Swarnapuri GN division which is admitted the three villages of Swarnapuri, Puliyankulam and Veppankulam.
Mannar district is one of well known place affected by the civil war. The conflicts in the region for 20 years compelled the displacement and destruction of the large segment of the Mannar district. The war destroyed the infrastructure and the displacement left communities without maintenance and jungle was swallowed formerly populated areas. The Manthai West AGA division in Mannar is also not exception to this situation. CTF selected three villages in Manthai West AGA division and started its humanitarian support program for resettled people to enhance their resettled life in April, 2010 with the funding from Diakonie, a German organization. It’s completed the following activities in recent past and handed over duly.
Construction of Permanent Houses and livelihood supports
CTF provided supports for constructing 70 houses in Swarnapuri, Puliyankulam and Veppankulam and livelihood assistance for enhance their level of income for the same beneficiaries. The widows, disable/affected people, women headed families and aged people considered and prioritized when selecting beneficiaries. The houses were built with two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and separate toilet facilities.
Renovation of Damaged Houses
CTF provided assistance for renovating 24 damaged houses from the selected villages. During the selection process of beneficiaries CTF coordinated with the government officials to identify the appropriate beneficiaries. Important segments identified with the consultation from Manthai West Pradeshiya Sabha’s to and provided assistance to repair it. They have been settled in their own houses and running their life happily and healthy.
Due to the lack of drinking water resources in the region, the resettled people suffered and had to walk very far to get pure water. CTF constructed 07 new common dug wells and repaired 07 damaged dug wells in Swarnapuri, Puliyankulam and Veppankulam. This sanitation facility has fulfilled the need of drinking water in the all three villages. It’s given a new energy for resettled people to run their life peacefully.
Reconstruction of Internal Roads and Culverts
The internal roads in the region were damaged and people faced many difficulties for their local transportation. CTF selected the 5 internal roads, total length of 8.2 km including 7 culverts which was concerned very important in the people’s day to day work. The selected roads are connecting the three villages; since the three villages admitted 2 ethnic communities, the construction of roads has been given an opportunity for peaceful integration among them.
Improvement of Irrigation Channel and Tank Road
CTF reconstructed 2 km long irrigation channel and 240m length tank road. This irrigation channel has been concerned very important for agriculture in all three villages. The channel starts from Puliyankulam and reaching Veppankulam tank via Swarnapuri. All three villages benefit from this channel for their agricultural activities.
The Veppankulam tank road was swallowed by jungles and was not in position to reach the tank. After construction of tank road people able to utilize it for their sanitation needs and some people using for fishing as well. This has given access to receive water for the paddy fields.
