2008

 

CTF celebrated its 15th Anniversary at Kalpitiya, Puttalam with participation of all members, trustees, staff, volunteers and well wishes. 
CTF became the first Sri Lankan NGO in obtaining membership status with Human Security Alliance (HSA), a Bangkok based regional Organization.

CTF volunteers step on the ground of Myanmar (Burma) on an emergency humanitarian mission initiated immediately after the deadly Nargis cyclone devastates Myanmar.

Mr. K.M. Ashar has fled to Bangladesh to work with Ain O Salish Kendra (ASK), a leading human rights organization in Bangladesh, under the 4th round of FK staff exchange programme

 

2007

 

A Project Office was set up at Batticaloa temporarily to educate the displaced and resettled people on the risks of mines, UXOs, etc.
A Project Office was newly established at Mutur Divisional Secretariat Division in Trincomalee District.  

Mr. Mathew Gillard  , a Master’s student from Canada served at CTF for nearly one year as a Volunteer.

An Italian Volunteer namely Ms. Stefania worked with CTF for 03 months.

Under the 3rd round of FK Staff Exchange Programme, Mr. Baburam Vishwaharma from INSEC Nepal was attached to CTF and Mr. R.M. Riskhan from CTF Sri Lanka was attached to People’s Watch Tamil Nadhu

Farewell functions were organized by CTF in honour of their valuable support and services of Mr. Eric, Protection Officer, Unicef, Ms. Yohana, Country Representative of Unicef and H.E. Ms. Nazeera, High Commissioner of Malaysia for Sri Lanka.

CTF was granted membership status with Civicus and Youth Kingdom

 

2006

 

A Project Office was set up temporarily at Kantala in Trincomalee district to cope up the sudden humanitarian crisis arisen as a result of the renewed war in Mutur DS division.

CTF successfully completed 10 years partnership with Unicef in Sri Lanka. A twin-purpose celebration was held at Puttalam to honour the 10 Year Partnership with Unicef and to remark the 13th Anniversary of CTF.

 

2005

 

Coordinating Secretariat re-structured in to 7 Units as the Admin Unit has divided into two – i.e. Human Resources Unit, and Secretariat Unit, due to increased work load. 
The already existing Information Unit was renamed as Information Technology Unit.

The Monitoring Unit was renamed as Monitoring and Evaluation Unit.

A special felicitation celebration was organized and conducted at Madadugama in Anuradhapura district to honour the past employees of the organization and current employees who have completed 5-years continuous dedicative services. The 12th Anniversary of CTF also remembered at this occasion

Mr. Orgil CHRD Mongolia served at CTF, while Mr. Alex Roach from CTF served at CHRD Mongolia and Mr. Saleem of CTF served at FORUM-ASIA Bangkok, under the 2nd round of FK Staff Exchange Programme

Under FK Special Tsunami programme, 3 International staff worked with CTF for 10 months.

CTF obtained membership with Centre for Asian Women (CAW).

Registered with Department of Inland Revenue.

CTF Ampara Project Office established at Kalmunai in order to serve for the Tsunami victims

A mission from the NGO Federation of Malaysia visited CTF

CTF become member with Youth General Assembly, and Asia Cultural Forum on Development of Sri Lanka
