The Coordinating Secretariat was restructured into 06 Units.

10th Anniversary of CTF was celebrated in Puttalam

Ms. Keran Green, a Volunteer from Volunteer Services Organization (VSO), UK served with CTF

The 1st round of FK Staff Exchange Programme was introduced. CTF received two staffs, one from ASK Bangladesh and the other from CHRD Mongolia. Mr. Nawas from CTF was attached to CHRD Mongolia

CTF received membership from the NNGO Council,   Srilanka

Received membership with NNFN
Registered with the Ministry of Social Services & Social Welfare.

Obtained membership with Department of Muslim Religious & Cultural Affairs

Approved as an Associate Member at the United Nations Department of Public Information, New York.

Obtained membership with Fredscorpset, Norway  and Japan Centre for Conflict Prevention.Become a member with “South Asian for Human Rights,   Nepal

Established Field Bureau at Kurunegala.

Established  Field Bureau at Polonnaruwa

Field Managers renamed as Field Coordinators

Obtained membership with CHA

Membership with FORUM-ASIA, Thailand

Obtained membership at NGO’s Water Supply & Sanitation Decade Services, Sri Lanka

 

2001

 

The Trincomalee Field Bureau was inaugurated

Obtained membership with International Youth Corporation, Netherland

Become member of AMDA, Japan and AMAN Thailand

 

2000

 

The Vavuniya Field Bureau was established.

Obtained membership with Asian Resources Foundation, Thailand

 

1999

 

The Anuradhapura Field Bureau was established

The Coordinating Secretariat was divided into 04 Units – i.e. Programme Unit, Finance Unit, Admin Unit and Resource Development Unit in order to carry out Organization’s functions effectively.

Managing Trustees were assigned to each Unit

Managers were appointed to run the Field Bureaus

The Citizens Committee was founded as a Consultative Body with CTF to voice for human rights violations

Two international volunteers from Australian Volunteer Service (AVS) namely Ms. Dian and Ms. Vise served with CTF for one year

 

1998

 

CTF duly registered as a Voluntary Services Organization with the National NGO Secretariat of the Ministry of Social Services, Sri Lanka under Voluntary Services Organizations Act, No. 31 of 1980

Field Bureau was inaugurated in Mannar District

The Vavuniya Field Bureau was inaugurated

A team of staff were recruited as Communication Assistants and attached with Field Bureaus. These were was the first appointment in CTF Obtained membership with the Central Council of Social   Services, Sri Lanka.
