Project Objective:
The main objective of this project is to provide immediate humanitarian assistance and supplies for the flood affected people of Kalutara and Gampaha districts.
Due to the heavy rain and flood in May/June 2008, many areas in Kalutara and Gampaha district have been affected. Large numbers of people have been displaced and living in public buildings, places of worship and with friends and relatives.

Due to heavy rain and flood, large number of people affected and had to displace, mainly in the Eastern and North Central Provinces of Sri Lanka. CTF, as the immediate humanitarian response, provided essential food items to 3000 flood affected families in Ampara, Polonnaruwa and Anuradhapura districts with the financial support of Diakonie-German.

Project Title: Payment for Preschool Teachers

Beneficiaries: Displaced and host communities children of pre-school going age.
Project Outline/Objective:
The project aims to promote early childhood development through pre-school education among the children of internally displaced community and host community of the selected 28 villages at Trincomalee, Anuradhapura and Puttalam districts. 30 pre-school teachers are paid a monthly allowance under this project in order to conduct pre-schools efficiently.

Beneficiaries: Youths of war affected/Resettled families of multi ethnic communities.
Project Outline/Objectives:
The project brings together youths of different ethnic communities in Trincomalee district with the following onjectives;
- To provide the youths with assistance and ideas for entrepreneurship development and career advancement.
- To improve the skills and knowledge of war affected community members through vocational training and capacity buildings activities.
- To improve the capacity of CTF Team members to deliver quality services to the affected community members.
The above objectives would be achieved through the following activities;

i. Sewing training & tailoring
