Women Forum:
This forum consist of four members from CTF and include one member from each district. This forum sits once in two months. This acts as consultant to CTF for women and child activities and helps to promote the women and child base activities in all operational areas.
Objectives:
- To minimize the issues based on women and child that brought to the forum from the divisional committee.
- Monitoring the activities of the divisional committee.
- To reduced the vulnerability of the women and child.
Activities:
- Awareness programme.
- Research on women and children.
- Preschool activities.
- Discussion on family health, motivating mothers and their welfare.
- Cultural activities and get-together.
- Women and child rights.
- Collection of funds from well wishers, anthropologist and donation by selling tickets.
- Emergency service.
Divisional Committee.
Each district consists of no of divisional committee, which includes all community such as Tamil, Muslim and Sinhalese. All this representatives will be selected from the existing village women groups in the villages. All this representatives will be attending the gathering and group meeting discussion regarding the issues submitted by the specific village committee once in two months.
Village committee.
This village committee consist of no of representatives and they represent from the women’s village groups. This committee discusses all the issues related to the women and children. Unsolved issues will be submitted to the divisional committee for review the problem and guide formal assistance to the village groups. Discussion will be held fortnightly.
